I agree that applying this with the ‘wet’ application was pretty pointless but I think it was to just show how it’s done.
But as far as registration marks go- you don’t HAVE to have them. I NEVER use them and can assure you my stuff comes out pretty damn close to perfect.

    Nice video, very helpful. Thanks!

Far from ideal application. This graphic should have had registration marks on both colors to make it easier to line up. Doing a wet app with the small pieces of vinyl in the shadow is asking for it to peel up when removing the tape.

cool vid . I do airbrushing @ home . so i have a cutter for vinol . and after many hours of weeding out stickers , I found that if you hold the bottom waxy paper firm , Then just peel it up as fast as you can throw your arm , comes out clean and fast every time . like pulling the table cloth off a set table . and the dishes all stay ,

if your skim board is waxed, you might find that this is the problem, the adhesive doesn’t like wax.

    yep, fair shout.
I find the only real time to apply wet is if its raining, LOL.
The bit about pushing not pulling the squeegee will force way more water out than dragging it also, enabling a faster release of the lining paper.
Not a criticism, just a helping hand.

  16. governmentmule says:

I know this would have been as easily done dry, but I wanted to show both methods.

  17. Underslug says:

Using application fluid just makes it harder to pull off the appp tape.
Do it dry, you wont get any bubbles if you do it properly, push the squeegee and not pull it like you do in this video.
With graphics this small there really is no need to do it wet.
