You should upgrade everything, Even a modern day single core AMD or intel cpu would be a huge upgrade.

You would have to buy a new motherboard to support an intel CPU, Likewise, I would recomend Finding a board that supports your memory, I currently am Using an AMD CPU In my main machine :)

The paste is called THERMAL PASTE you can get it online or at your local PC shop. The paste i use is made out of a silver COMPOUND. Its called artic Silver and its inexpensive. Cost about as much as a cheap pack of smokes

  19. carlosmejiproduction says:

    the paste is glue or?

  20. chicagochris1988 says:

the cpu can only fit in one way on socket 775

  21. chicagochris1988 says:

Paste is what spreads heat to the to cooler which takes heat away from the cpu. its essential

  22. skullkid4900 says:

I think it’s to keep the processor cooler

  23. BROAdWAYexpressN says:

and why do you have to put paste/glue?

  24. BROAdWAYexpressN says:

do you have to put the CPU in a certain direction?
